How GLP Food Score works

Research and Data Resources

Methodology, nutrition sources and reusable data context for journalists, researchers and readers evaluating GLP Food Score.

Last updated: September 7, 2026

Start with the methodology

The scoring methodology documents the factors, weights, version and boundaries of the 0–100 score. It should be cited when discussing what the score measures. It is not evidence of clinical validation.

Evaluate the underlying data

Our nutrition data source policy explains source priority, serving-basis records, verification dates, unknown values and controlled updates. Individual restaurant and item pages provide the most specific available context.

Using GLP Food Score as a source

Please link to the exact page supporting the statement, identify GLP Food Score as the publisher, and include the page’s displayed verification or update date when freshness matters. A link to a restaurant hub is preferable for restaurant-level findings; item claims should link to the item page.

What our data can and cannot show

The database can support descriptive comparisons of listed nutrition values and calculated scores. It cannot establish medical outcomes, predict individual food tolerance, prove causation or substitute for clinical research. Menu availability and preparation may vary by location.

Corrections

If a value appears wrong or out of date, use the corrections process and include the official source. We prefer a traceable correction to an unsupported claim of completeness.
